Things I would like to look into, that arent strictly related to this law but would be to BDSM rights in a broader sense are:

- Accurate labeling of how to use and clean/sterilise toys. If toys didnt look so cheap and nasty, especially the packaging but sometimes the whole thing, it would help with the image and would also reduce the chances of STD. I know of study, will try and find it online, about how the chanches of getting infected doesnt depend on the number of partners but on how much someone knows about how to prevent STDs. (and trust, so the group most at risk was actually the nilla wifes with cheating husbands, because they don't/can't use protection.)

- According to some, bdsm is the fastest growing subculture in the UK/Europe. It might be a good idea to look into ways of getting the message out to the vanillas more. (dating sites springs to mind, places like plentyoffish allow sexual references and discussion on its boards.) Facebook is also fairly good in this sense. It might be good to place articles on there, or links that attract more vanillas instead of the same old people from IC. Some pro-dommes might be interested in having a profile and initiating/moderating a civilised conversation about these things with the vanillas. This would need people who can draw the line well so as not to put them off or get banned from the site/s.

We coul get a pro domme on to this as well, I am sure. I have seen a tv in one of the mainstream vanilla magazines, she had a weekly column, will try and find it.

- With regards to backlash, while I think it has done a great job, the law has basically been passed, and I would leave legal advisory to the lawyers. I don't see how could backlash be of any use in this, unless if it was to act as a first port of call, so people would be trafficking through backlash to get to the lawyers? I think Spanner would be the best first port of call in any case, considering they specialists in this field already, and I hope they would be able to do it on a commercial basis, so that's one thing less to worry about?

- Clarification of the law is very important they are spending tax payers money so the absolute minimum they can do is bring in a law that makes sense. It's true it won't because they have already admitted there is no proven link between pictures and crime, but the minimum they Have To do is define it so people can stick to it. This is their job.
