Is there a way to read and post via email, or do you have to log in to the website every time to read the forum?
If you have to log in every time, then I will quickly drop out of following the discussions. The strength of Smartgroups for me is that the posts end up in my email box, so I don't have to keep checking on the off-chance that someone has added something new, which frankly I find a pain in the arse with forums in general. I joined this group because I understood it to be an email list, NOT a forum.

Yes, it's phpBB the standard forum, but with an e-mail extension. For each forum you can subscribe to get the posts by mail. So long as your From address matches the address you join with you can post and reply by e-mail.

Yes Alan, a few weeks ago mail delays seemed bad again and that's the reason for a replacement. Maybe mail isn't a problem now but I think the SG main page still has the apology.
