Looks like the Government are suggesting a response to the consultation will be made in "March".
It has been suggested that this must be an old post refering to the original deadline of March this year, but the date of the question in hansard is clearly 2/10/06. What's going on here?

If you check hansard the question was asked on feb 7th 2006, and the minister who replied left the HO in july so the reply must have been crafted before march 2006, which is what is refered to.

If the consultation is going to go forward to become law then it should be in the Queens speech and it should be debated in the House of Commons. This apparently can depend on whether it's a bill in it's own right, or if it's shoehorned into a bigger bill.

Ask Hansard? It may be a glitch in their process. HOW to do that is problematic, as the page at
http://www.parliament.uk/site_information/contact_us.cfm#Enquiries says
"Please note that only Members can ask for corrections to Hansard, which have to be approved by a Principal Assistant Editor. However, when we "proofread" the daily part we pick up errors and authorise corrections so there is not usually any need to inform us of errors you may find"
It might be worth writing to the speakers quoted and asking them to explain or request a correction to Hansard
