Worryingly quiet around here

I do hope people are not getting cold feet?

No cold feet here but personal problems have a habit of getting in the
way. No doubt other people have similar reasons for not posting.

At the moment I'm seriously busy having just finished off my new
catalogue and sorting out stuff for the Skin Two Expo.

Will Backlash have a presence there?

Cheers,
Graham.

I've been doing bits and pieces for Backlash and Feminists Against Censorship.

No. Long live freedom! I want my taxes spent on fixing REAL crime, not on persecuting people for looking at pictures.

Hi Al

Cold feet? No, but maybe I feel a rope tightening around my neck! However
it wouldn't be the first time and good job I quit while I was ahead of that
game.

Seriously though, I expect many of us are waiting for the draft bill so that
we can lobby against the actual absurd proposals of the "Dangerous Pictures
Law"

Was hoping meanwhile that Spanner's solicitor would try and prevail on the
officials at HO pointing out the travesty of it all and it's obvious
uselessness as a deterrent for the odd psycho intent on murder or other violence.

Maybe there is a lot of scope for a lawyer especially as HO mentioned that
they have to withold some responses in view of a possible Coutts retrial.
Would not debating the Bill
prejudice such a trial and should it be shelved until the trial is over.
Possibly his own legal team would request that in the interest of justice.

Are we, and Spanner, still in touch with HO in opposition to the proposals?

Hmm, there's a thought.

If you tried (but failed) to commit suicide in the nude and took
pictures of it, could you end up getting 3 years in jail...?! ;-)

Cheers,
Graham.

As for myself, not in the slightest...
have recently shot two letters off to the home office and am now waiting for
replies... once I hear I'll be posting relevant info to backlash and
melonfarmers...

BTW I've received a CD from the Home Office with the responses from the
Consultation, hopefully I'll get a chance to go through it after getting
the Skin Two Expo out of the way.

Cheers,
Graham.

Ok point taken folks.

I've done the blogg thing and will add a few finishing points to my posts there then I'll link it to the backlash site as suggested. Am poised to write again to my MP as soon as or if the gov publishes its draft (daft) law

Very likely! Actually one of the queries in the Responses quoted by HO was,
"What if the image is your own?" Maybe we can tease or wind them up asking
opposition MP's to raise
that and similar queries. Just illustrates the nonsense of the whole idea.

silver is to be publically collared to me and a video made as well as
distributing books, fliers etc. at MDS next month, when a collection will be
made for backlash.
