Someone mentioned that we need to be targetting a few of the rabble rousers as if we can get a couple of these rebels on board, the libdems and a substantial part of the liberatarian tories we've got a reasonavble opposition.

On the Joint Committee on Human Rights who will be scrutinizing legislation re compatibility,so far as I have looked the following look reasonably libertarian-

Lord Campbell-Cons.Lord Campbell is nearly 90 years old,yet he continues to prove a steady defender in the Lords against this government's manic assaults on civil liberties.

Lord Plant-Lab

Dr Evan Harris-Lib Dem.Don't quote me on this but Dr.Harris may be well,"thingy"(being careful!),so may have an a personal interest in defending the rights of persecuted people over such issues.

Richard Shepherd-Cons

Other-

Boris Johnson-Cons. May be another possibility. Certainly a maverick, though at times he can go too far and spoils things a bit. But he is certainly against control freakery.
