Banning things? The news today...

Graham Marsden, 11 Sep 2006 23:24:25

Hi there,

Ok, this may be seen as a bit tasteless or opportunistic, but the
shooting of a 15 year old with what was almost certainly a banned weapon
(on the grounds that pretty much all such weapons are illegal) tends to
put the current plans to make it illegal to possess "violent porn" into
perspective.

If they can't stop people possessing guns or, indeed, lock up those who
do possess them, what chance do they have of really doing anything
except criminalising the innocent?

Cheers,
Graham.

Of course, the only people "banned" from having guns are the "law abiding" ones. This means the criminal can be sure his victim is guaranteed to have been disarmed by his "ally" the well protected political elite.
"Banning" drugs-well that sure put an end to that trade in human misery didn't it.
Smart people those we allow to govern us. Stupider us for letting them..
