Why keep checking for Mail? The all-new Yahoo! Mail shows you when there are new messages.

I read this doc with interest and to sum up the government have got precious little real evidence to base any new law on. I also note with a a scinical curl of my lip that no reference was made to Rabinda Sing's opinion on the human rights ramifications of their proposals. Sticky wicket what?

The total lack of a mention of the HRA or the Convention seems significant. They dodge it altogether-they did the same in the CP with a glib paragraph utterly failing to say how these proposals against privacy and freedom of information do not conflict with human rights obligations. Interestingly, the existence of such a law on the Statute book here could make anyone who feels threatened by it a good candidate for being accepted for asylum somewhere else. A tragic day for this nation,a tragic day it was when we allowed it to be delivered into the paws of our current rulers.

I tried to copy the link for the Home office for the exact page needed but it doesn't work. Best just go to the Home office site and type into their search engine "consultations"-it is for 2005. You can get a link to their "response" paper on that main page, while having a laugh at their "motto". Write in protest to John Reid and get your family, friends, dog, budgie whatever to do the same. The reception for this rubbish has been chilly. My advice would be to especially mention this contravenes human rights obligations all over the place.
