planning for party conference season

the registration period for the libdem confernce is gone. They weren't interetsdin having www.backlash-uk.org.uk. so we have to organise an alternative fringe meeting. We need to find MP's to sponsor us, to help attract people to our cause.

We need to do the same for the other parties.

We need volunteers to do this.

we need to know who has contacted their MP

we need sposnors for the drink for the meeting and people to arrange them

We need publicity material and people to draw it up, distribute them etc...

we need people with lobbying or party political experience who can advise (even anonymously) who to contact, when is the best, date and time, generally help us be as effective as possible.


The deadlines are approaching. Indeed conference season is approaching.

We'll miss another year if we don't get a move on.

We have a couple of teams working on Lib Dem and Labour conferences but no-one so far has volunteered to help with the tory party conference.


We also need a co-ordinator and volunteers to raise funds, sponsorship to pay for the meeting.


and people to work on the publicity side of things.

I think you might have to explain what exactly these conferences are,
what we are meant to archieve and how exactly the system works. I
consider myself to have some knowledge of the political process but I
have barely any idea what we are actually meant to be doing, or
whether there is anything I could offer to help with.
