Even better than that...

They're trying to corrupt our kiddies through their comics!

The latest 2000AD has a competition where you can win a copy of the
following video (it does say it's for over 18's only, but like they're
really going to check!)

Here's a bit of the synopsis from
http://www.anchorbay.co.uk/perl/search.pl?CO=ABD4437

* * * * *

For the first time ever together - six of the most shocking, depraved
and corrupt movies which were banned under the Obscene Publications Act
during 1983/4 - Along with an all-new feature length documentary Ban The
Sadist Videos which was a headline for the Daily Mail at the height of
the frenzy.

Films include:

I Spit on Your Grave
Zombie Flesh-Eaters
The Driller Killer

Last House on the Left
Nightmares in a Damaged Brain

Well spotted!
Typical illustration of the stupidity presently driving this country into.

just a thought - we would none of us have a leg to stand on if they simply
turned around and outlawed the lot.

Except that it would be very unlikely for such a law to be passed and it
would be wide open to appeal.

Certainly worth a look, although I suspect that the worst of these titles are cut in some way either before submission to the BBFC by the distributor or by the BBFC themselves. The images that are being banned are explicit images not implied and must be "in a sexual context" ie pornographic.

I'm not knocking this find it might still provide some good evidence of conflicts with the BBFC/mainstream, but don't get your hopes up too high. I think the other film that was discussed with the plastic bag over the head scene may cause more problems for them.

Is anyone going to volunteer to buy and review this set?
