We need to draw up a list of annoying questions so that people can contct their MPs.
We still need a concerted effort vis a vis lobbying the NGOs.
Paul suggested we contact John Reid himself. and someone on one of the websites suggested the baroness asthal as a good target too.
I still think asking for support from individual police forces, the CPS, the probation service discussing the extra strain on resources and other relevant issues is worth a go.
We need people working on the press campaign. In particular,
we need someone to contact Bizarre magazine about the campaign. and maybe we should take out an ad with them.
We need people publicising the public campaign across a number of websites.
I have done myspace.com and redemptionfilms and will do kerrang and slimelight today as well as a number of press release for various pornsites.
But blogs, freedom of expression, music sites, film sites , goth sites etc, etc need doing.
We need a new flyer designed.
I'm looking at getting some images taken in the next few weeks but if anyone else can do something (drawn or photpgraphed) sooner,t hat'd be great.

I want to write to my MP but am a bit anxious about what to say.
Good ideas/pointers would be most welcome

some starter points:
General worries:
* A violent film/pic is illegal if it's also
'pornographic' (ie if the people that made it intended
it to be arousing) - how is anyone supposed to know
that?
* It's illegal if it's pornographic and contains a
'realistic depiction' of violent activity - what's
'realistic' supposed to mean here? How will people
know?
* Material can end up on your computer without you
knowing it - are people going to have to prove they
didn't know?
Material that might get you in trouble (might be
interpreted as pornographic):
* Bizarre Magazine - recent features on bestiality,
amputee sex and gay nazi porn. Its website has loads
of movie clips that would probably qualify.
* Magazines/websites about horror films - eg Fangoria,
Film Threat, Draculina
* Low-budget horror films - often contain violence and
softcore sex scenes
* Material with a death/Satanism theme - some Goth
sites and Redemption TV
* Scenes from mainstream TV/films - often very violent
with sex scenes etc
* Videos from certain rock genres (eg death metal)?
On the 'nanny state':
* This treats adults as if they were children
* Get out of people's bedrooms
* It's for parents to control what their children
watch, not the state
* The internet should be free
* We already have the toughest censorship in
Europe/America (compare China etc)
* How are they going to enforce this - by watching
everyone all the time?
* One person's obscenity is another's preference (used
to be illegal to be gay)
* What are they going to ban next?
On the need for a new law:
* It's another bad knee-jerk law (Dangerous Dogs Act)
* Violent behaviour is already illegal - we have all
the laws we need
* This is more legislation just to grab headlines -
will the gov just give it a rest and concentrate on
enforcing existing laws?
* So resources are going to be taken away from real
crimes to waste time on this?
* Not needed - ordinary people aren't affected by this
stuff and psychos will be psychos whether it exists or
not
* Not needed (another reason) - this stuff is
consensual and often not even real
Not effective - not going to affect production
overseas
I think the I'm very worried letter on the website is one way of tackling it. Just change Bizarre magazine for mention of vampiristic sites....
