Timing question

Assuming all this happens, but hoping it doesnt...

whats the sort of timeline we're talking about, as in when's it likely to land on us from up high?

Hard to tell. We should get the HO report on the consultation back in the next few weeks.

That might give us some clues.

As I understand it, all Departments will be putting forward their proposals for this year's Queen's Speech over the summer recess. If this bill is accepted for inclusion then it will go ahead next parliament. If not, the HO will try again next year.

So, if it passes this year... were talking October at the earliest? if not(insert tapdance here)... October next year.. at the earliest etc?
