Further summary document added

The new file I have added is a spreadsheet, designed to give more information about the position of the various respondents to the Scottish Exec.
The first column gives the response number assigned by the Scottish Exec consultation. The next four columns show whether they were pro or anti banning the material in the various categories listed by the consultation paper (bestiality; necrophilia; serious sexual violence; serious violence in a sexual context). The next column gives the maximum sentence in years suggested by the respondent. Next there is whether the respondent questioned the use of "serious" as a qualifier for the material description, and after that I added whether they wanted the material to include all pornography (if they suggested including r18, that qualified for a "yes"). I only filled these two in where the respondent was pro-legislation. The last column was for if an anti- respondent had raised the issue of including "realistic depictions".
In general, "No Comment" meant that the respondent had specifically stated that they would not answer, except in the last two columns. Here, I was surprised to find one or two who specifically stated a "no" to the point, rather than simply ignoring it (i.e. a pro- response that stated that R18 should be allowed, was given a "no", likewise an anti- response that said t was reasonable to include realistic depictions would get a "no").
In the column on suggested max. sentence, "SOA" means that the only specific suggestion was that the offender be added to the Sex Offenders Register. Otherwise, where no sentence was suggested, I recorded "No answer", or if the response was anti- I recorded a zero.
In general, "Unclear" meant that the answer given was vague; "Unsure" meant that the respondent had stated specifically that they had not decided what to put.
Where there was no specific statement on an anti- response, I assumed that they were anti- all bans.
I hope that this document can be of some use.
It reveals that only 16 responses out of those published were completely opposed to any legislation. A further 12 opposed banning BDSM pornography but were willing to see bestiality and necrophilia porn banned. One person, who overall seemed to be pro- the proposals, seemed to think that bestiality and necrophilia were more acceptable than BDSM ("serious sexual violance"/"serious violence in a sexual context").

Thanks for that...
I really think at the moment we need a spreadsheet of what various MPs, councils, lobby groups, media have done so we can direct our lobbying attentions....
