I have received a response to my email to Gareth Crossman (Policy Director at Liberty), in which I included a copy of the Backlash Manifesto (the document that we put together on writeboard way back when) and suggested that Liberty could ask us for information or that we would welcome information provided by them.
His reply was as follows:
"Thanks for this and again apologies for the delay in getting back. If
the legislation is published I will certainly use backlash as a
resource."
This looks very positive in terms of getting backlash's point of view across, and I think gives us a real chance of persuading Liberty to put a little weight behind our campaign.
