Q re Friday's meeting
«No Name Set», 08 Sep 2005 18:23:14
Is anyone going to be taking photos? - or have the organisers
organised someone to do so?
Alternatively, is photography banned?
[Ihave no strong feelings personally about photos *per se* but
flashbulbs damage what's left of my eyesight.]

The venue's default rule is no photos without permission. I'm sure we'll
apply the same rules as at BDSM events, i.e. no cameras or recording
equipment without prior agreement. Nobody should be photographed without
giving their permission.
However we may have someone to photograph those speakers who want to be.
One thing we SHOULD do however is to record the meeting (sound only). It
may be quoted by the press and to record it and tell people that we are is
a safeguard.
Err, does anyone have any suitable recording equipment? I have a cheap MP3
player / recorder but something with a separate mike would be better.

I for one would feel uncomfortable about having a photographer wandering
around, and would guess that i'm not the only one!

Unfettered and I'm sure other groups involved will want to respect
individual anonymity. There's absolutely no chance that anyone will be
allowed to take photographs except in controlled situations of specific
people who want to be, with nobody else in shot. Except for anyone who
might try to take pictures secretly and we'll be watching out for that.
