Smartgroups

Hi All,

In the unlikely(!) event that this gets through to the group, I'd like to suggest that the Smartgroups thing isn't functioning well enough to serve us in this campaign. This will become especially pertinent when, in the coming weeks/months, the gob-shites at the HO announce their next moves.

I realise that alternative arrangements will require an input of organisation, and that I'm generally a commentator and not a organiser in this campaign, but I this problem needs serious consideration!

Hi, this has just arrived. When did you send it?

Maybe. I find that not all messages are getting through to me (ie I will
see a message
replying to another message and not have received the original)

We should be able to use forum software that keeps spamming and
hacking to a minimum.

I haven't had the chance to read it through, won't comment yet.

I'll get us a working discussion forum, Smartgroups delays are a
disaster at these times.<

Am a computer newbie but I wonder if the way to partly offset the delays is
to post to the group but send copies to the main players/organisers. Assume
that copies go direct and not subject to the bottle neck?
