So we have a venue, a line-up of bands, a sound man with sound system, tickets being printed, flyers also being printed, someone doing the catering...
That leaves two things lacking, things that I believe I may have mentioned quite recently (but here's a reminder anyway)
1/. Volunteers to be stewards/door people. I've had a few, but not nearly enough yet. The good news is I have enough first aiders now, so if you haven't got first aid experience/qualification that's no reason not to volunteer. The bad news is that I haven't got enough strong people to do lifting and carrying during the set-up/packing-down parts of the evening.
2/. A paying audience. Everybody, please spread the word about the gig, the cause it's supporting and when, where and how much it is. Mention also that Club Subversion are doing a very nice discount on their event the same evening and if you turn up there after our show, wielding your Backlash Whiparound ticket stub, you'll be given admittance for a lower price! If you're planning on coming yourself, it would be really nice if you could order a ticket now or ASAP, because that will ease some of my worries a little.
