Check out Operation Ore

Reading post from Silver and others I had a read of Liberty's Response and
saw that it did not go all the way with the Home Office proposals and pointed
out the obvious difficulties.
Looking up a case they mentioned I came across details of current sentencing
for illegal images by solicitor
Angus Hamilton _http://www.hamilton
s-solicitors.co.uk/archive-docs/operation-ore_ (http://www.hamiltons-solicitors.co.uk/archive-docs/operation-ore)
Hope this information is of interest to our group as it mentions how to
delete any evidence and also if caught some were fined or merely cautioned, if
for their own use, and pleading guilty. Even escaping entry on the Register!
However we hope the proposed nonsense never makes it into law.

Thanks Graham.
Whilst at work today I was thinking that this enterprising solicitor
might be useful to us.
Maybe a lawyer could make the obvious point, if a Bill is drafted, that
there is no connection between consensual BDSM and child porn. Those
without understanding want
to bracket us together and surely we have to try and enlighten them.
Also the legislators are unaware that the Longhurst case is a one off
involving a deranged individual who had spoken of his desire to rape and strangle a
woman long before he had a computer. Do they think that we want the freedom
to use so called extreme stuff with a view to "psyching" ourselves up to
commit murder and rape?
Their motivation seems to be avoiding another similar crime and how can we
make it clear to
them that their approach is futile and will have no effect on violent crime
except perhaps to make it worse? Maybe a lawyer would be the best bet to
clarify the situation if nobody in authority will take any notice of us "pervs"
