I would love to come and speak but unfortunately will not be able to make it at short notice, but I will be following developments closely. A couple of initial thoughts concerning the consultation, it will be vital to get as many different people as possible to write individual responses. Writing in with supportive comments or copying out letters will be benificial, but far less so. You will need hundreds of responses to make an impact.
It is also important to try to avoid splits over "detail" however difficult that might appear. This must be avoided at all costs people need to realise that the most important thing is to fight the Government and stick together.
Differing views might well be more convincing to the Government in a fall back position and a slightly different view point would make an excellent response. What ever happens please try to avoid confrontation over issues such as this as they will be very damaging. I will try to write again
