sticky messages

Is it possible for important announcements, questions and requests to be made to "stick" at the top of the list?

There was a request asking for people to respond about contacting groups that I had intended to reply to but I can't find it now, it has disappeared somewhere into the deep abyss of yesterdays posts.

Yes, we've moved from too-static pages to too-dynamic pages. We need
a permanent finding aid* to the important stuff as well as a rolling
feed of the latest news.

Doulos who runs the blogger side is aware of the problem. We could do
with say 5 day retention, plus the Archive button back that linked to
the older stories.

If its difficult how about using the ads feature. I know its not an advert but why not? Just a thought.

We need to keep details of the fundraiser at Backlash somewhere prominent, if we want to keep selling tickets.

Sorry that should be at the fundraiser at Nemesis.

Can you tell I didn't get enough sleep last night?!
