total waste of time and resource. The government will simply not take us

Thanks Silver for such an inspirational post. You think like the Bard.
"O wad some Pow'r the giftie gie us
To see ourseles as others see us!" Rabbie Burns.
As you imply our, in their face, opposition to the proposed bill could well
be counter productive.
Whenever I have partly come out more by accident than design I have been
beaten up, robbed, debit card taken and account cleaned out, sacked, divorced,
despised and derided.
So from bitter experience I certainly agree that we should be discreet and
form an association to which a majority could subscribe. I recall "The
People's League for the Defence of Freedom." When I Googled this I found it was a
right wing group abolished by the grocer's daughter when she seized the Tory
leadership.
What about appealing with something sounding more sexy and less ponderous,
say,
Democrats Against Censorship, DAC?
It looks like the Government will have a rough ride this session and will
take notice and hopefully fright, of an organisation which could vote against
them in decisive numbers.
Might this be a more promising approach rather than forming yet another
political party?
After all in politics it is votes and hanging on to their seats which
concentrates minds.
