Dangerous - Acts?
«No Name Set», 15 Oct 2005 13:22:05
We've all heard of the Dangerous Dogs Act - rushed in as a
kneejerk reaction to a couple of horror stories of kids getting
chewed up by Rottweilers (sp?) and now a laughing stock.
on the radio yesterday (?; Thursday) I heard someone talking of
the govt's anti-terrorism proposals as the Dangerous Humans Act
- clearly with the implication it is destined to be a similar,
ahem! dog's dinner of a crappy law, and to be a similar laughing
stock.
Are the current proposals a Dangerous Pictures Act? - or a
Dangerous Computers Act? - similarly destined to be another
unworkable law that leaves the govt with yet more egg on its
face? Can we use this in any publicity, speeches, letters and
the like?
It will go in my response to the consultation - feel free to
borrow it.

Now that sounds like a *VERY* good idea!
In this world of soundbite "arguments", it gives us a fast comeback to
claims about how "some people" might be "depraved or corrupted" by these
images.
Nice one :-)
Cheers,
Graham.
